hahaha that plate looks like you're driving into toon town! If anyone remembers who framed roger rabbit.
And why should it?At least they are changing it. For all intents and purposes NC's plate hasn't changed since 1985.

I think plates should be designed strictly to have good visibility, which seems to be the goal of NYs.NY plate is so blaaa....at least OH has some color.
The plates on my Sonata and Dakota are approaching 20 years...when the state finally replaces them next year they *will* be 20 and, on the Sonata, they look it.This is the design that our 103 year old Secretary of State is currently issuing for our trucks. It was designed "in house"... as if you couldn't tell. Apparently, it was a high school dropout using MS Paint.
And we get to keep our plates for 10 or 15 years or so. The last set on my '04 Silverado were on it for 16 (sixteen) years. There's no money to replace them any sooner, of course.

In CA you can pay to get a variety of style, most people just get the "free" bland plate.I'm going with just because you can basically put a picture or photo as the background on modern plates doesn't mean you should...
I have the same opinion of automobiles styling and what children should wear during school day, but the rest of the nation disagree with me.I think plates should be designed strictly to have good visibility, which seems to be the goal of NYs.
The current red inverted triangle top with white bottom plate looks very plain to me. I’m not opposed to one or two color plates, old school, but I’m just not a fan of the Ohio one. I like this new plate, as it includes a little of everything.
They should have a skyline five-way somewhere on there…

I love Michigan. Surrounded by some of the best freshwater in the world. My cars aren’t a fan however, ie rustThe root cause of all of Ohio's problems is that it sits below Michigan and all of the poo regarding our state runs downhill!
The new plate looks good to me and it depicts the beautiful state Ohio is.
I don't know that the states disagree.Notice that N. Carolina and Ohio still disagree which state is First in Flight and both use the Wright Brothers on their plates. By rights New Hampshire is First In American Spaceflight because it is the birthplace of Alan Shephard.
We've got dozens of plate options here as well (https://www.bmv.ohio.gov/vr-sp-geninfo.aspx) but no different than California, the vast majority of people get the standard plate too.In CA you can pay to get a variety of style, most people just get the "free" bland plate.
...using an airplane designed and built in Ohio, by two brothers born, raised, and living in OhioNC is "First in Flight"
Are those facts in question?...using an airplane designed and built in Ohio, by two brothers born, raised, and living in Ohio![]()
Well I'm glad Ohio does not slap your county name on it! Also, there should be a FEDERAL LAW made to prevent states from selling(yes selling) vanity plates. THERE SHOULD ONLY BE ONE PLATE STANDARD FOR PASSENGER CARS PER STATE.I don't get why license plates need to look like a Bob Ross painting.
WHY ARE YOU YELLING MAYBE CALM DOWN AMD WRITE YOUR SENATORWell I'm glad Ohio does not slap your county name on it! Also, there should be a FEDERAL LAW made to prevent states from selling(yes selling) vanity plates. THERE SHOULD ONLY BE ONE PLATE STANDARD FOR PASSENGER CARS PER STATE.
Why? THE COLOR OF THE LAW. A cop stops you, and you get preferential treatment when he sees you are a "Master Mason" or a "Veteran" plate.
NO! The law should be applied equally. You speed 65 in a 40, we should not pressure the cops to give special privileges.(unless you are EMT/Firefighter/stormspotter/Doctor in the business of your profession)
A "Master Mason" should not get off a speeding ticket. Or someone who has thin blue line vanity plates.....
THIS DOES HAPPEN, AND I DO HAVE SPECIAL PLATES THAT, IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE PLATES, I would have been harassed.
Looks too cartoony. Looks like it was designed by whoever did Land O Lakes.
