I really didn't see any posts on this. What is the OEZ by premium Guard? I was putting a bundle together to check price on AAP, I have some Speed Perks that expire in 5 days. I didn't order my PG4612EX's from RA yet so I figured I would just do a CQ Premium but I have 11 other choices. I read some in the past on Fram Titanium being like a Fram Endurance IIRC. No clue on Fram Force or Fram Drive. I tried adding all of them separately to a bundle with the VRP and price was the same. So basically like AZ, pick most expensive or what I think is best for vehicle.

Right now if quick decision would be the CQ Premium. Any others filters from below members might recommend and why?

This will be probably go on my 72k '19 Pilot getting a second round of VRP 5w-30. It will only be on for probably about 5k and then maybe sent to Adam to cut open when that gets changed next. Probably more short trips like my Euro-L UOA's than highway but who knows. My son is moving to VA end of April.

look under the name on your image.. for the OEZ Premium Guard, it has Honda's A02 part number. I bet it's just a re-boxing of Honda's filter. They were throwing A02's into generic boxes at Walmart too.

Yeah, that seems erroneous. PG didn't ever make any OEM Honda filters. Unless now maybe Honda recently dropped Fram and went with another supplier, like PG. 🤷‍♂️

Can you ask where that filters made?
I might just grab one of the OEZ so it can examined, dissected and scrutinized for future.

Like I posted the CQP would probably be my go to. After that probably the wire backed Titanium. What is the Autozone shelves version from Premium Guard? I thought it was the STP XL but some posts say they are Champ.

I liked the videos, and C&P's from the BOSS except all the discussions of lower filtering. Paralysis by analysis can definitely get anyone on the BITOG rabbit hole if they read and search enough.

I checked my Autozone rewards and used them up recently so CQP and VRP from AAP is on the list for this week.

The STP line is mostly their main offerings. STP rebrands different company filters & there is no single source. You will see Champ, PG, etc as the COO.

The Purolator Boss is an excellent filter period. :)
I think the Purolator One's should get more use around here too.

Iirc, the "OEZ" (?)by PG has been discussed here before and found to be an AAP online listing error. I think I may have even gone to local AAP and found a Fram made A02 on the shelf. I'm confident that currently there is no Honda OEM made by PG. In any case, it wouldn't be an option for me.

As for a filter for bundle for Honda, 'for me' there are two that I would absolutely consider. In no particular order, the CQ Premium 84357 would be an option. And based on my results with PL14610/14612 (c&p) and the P1/PL almost clone US made Bosch Premium 3323 w/ multiple recent c&p, the PL14610 also an option.

So, I'm sure one option listed popular, one likely less so but I'm going by my personal experience with it. As I've said in the past about maintenance on my vehicles, only person I must please, me. :)

The strange part about the Honda filter listing is it says "Same Filter Installed From the Factory".

Typically, the filters installed on the factory assembly line are not sold in retail stores. It would be interesting to see what filter you get when ordering that listed filter.

.....But they are indeed just regular OEM filters.
So as accurately noted, an AAP online listing error. But an "OEZ by Premium Guard", someone really missed the mark with this one. I'm going to say in this case it means the most common Fram made A02 as the small print part # indicates.

Adding, when it comes to Honda OEM filters, the A01 by Filtech, the Fram A02 and the Mahle/Tennex 003 have all been Honda Factory Filters at one time or another. All c&p here as such. Also, all have been available for retail purchase.

Yes, it is the Fram built A02 filter. As for missing the mark, it's only one of about a million things AAP does that doesn't make any sense. The main thing to take away is that if you want an OEM filter, you can get one included in your oil and filter bundle deal, and the A02 filter fits 90 plus percent of Hondas. They also have the Hyundai OEM filter, a Subaru OEM filter, a Toyota OEM filter, and of course the usual AC Delcos, Mopars, and Motorcrafts.

I haven't had any A02's to compare this to. I'll need to check past C&P's tomorrow. Bypass is the flat plastic disc looking version.

I can't see wasting it so will probably go on Pilot as first available Honda due for change in about 500 miles.

Totally different then the center core and bypass valve on the CQP.
