OEM vs. non-OEM PCV valves

I am going to replace the PCV valve on the 98 camry in my sig. We only need this vehicle to last another 4 or 5 years max, if that matters. Local dealer is across town. Wondering how important it is, to get an OEM PCV valve. Its not the money (although they do charge more) so much as the inconvenience of having to go there twice, once to order and the second time to pick up the part. Are there good aftermarket suppliers I can count on, or should I just bite the bullet and buy from my dealer?

Buy it online from any of a number of Toyota dealers. You'll get guaranteed quality, possibly save a few bucks, and not have to deal with the inconvenience of making two trips to the dealership.

Here's one option: https://parts.toyota.com/

And another: https://toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/

I've used McGeorge with good results and others have commented favorably about Parts.Toyota.com

It's not about durability, it's about calibration where an OEM replacement valve would more closely match the original.

I don't know, and I wouldn't be able to tell, if it only needed cleaning. But for a part that costs less than $15, that lasted 285K miles, I'll just swap it out.

Is it physically damaged? I brakeclean and reuse.

Order online from the dealership. It’s crazy, but they will charge you double, almost triple what they charge versus the internet price. I didn’t know this until last year but wish I knew it sooner.
