This is sort of a continuation/update of a topic started somewhere else, before I realized there's a lighting section here..

the OEM left passenger side low beam bulb on my wife'03 Elantra is out, and yesterday I took it out, and was surprised and impressed to see it was a German Osram bulb! (fantastic light output in this car, btw);
This is what's on the base of the bulb:
OSRAM 64210L DOT E1 23G 12V 55W H7U GERMANY w2T2 2/7

I called the dealer...we're in luck. Headlight bulbs are covered for the first 5 yrs/60k miles. (I didn't ask what brand they use to replace)

I don't know if they replace the bulb with the same brand that came in the car, though (German Osrams). These bulbs have won the best euro bulb several times, I really would like to have the same.
From the info at ElantraClub, the dealer should get the bulbs from Hyundai, and should be the same bulb, but I don't know for sure yet.
so: Has anybody ever replaced their OEM bulbs at their Hyundai dealer? if yes, which brand of bulbs did they use?
Thanks for any info/input/help.

(I looked around, and I can get the German Osram H7's at ebay and some other places)

Why not just pull it out and see.
Also, I would change the pair - if one side is out, you can bet the other is not far behind!

I've had both low beams burn out at the same time... pure coincidence. I would let the 2nd one go until it blows so you'll start "staggering" them.

If you like that OEM bulb you will love Osram's +30 line of bulbs (uncoated) or the off road H7 base with an H9 globe installed. For high beam use you will get close to HID lighting output.

Richard.

I never got an answer to that same question in another post either, but I accidentally found the H9 globe H7 base bulb listed at danielsternlighting.com/.
