Odyssey and Oil "Stabilizer"

I wouldn’t think twice about using the Lucas stabilizer in an emergency because it’s pure thickener. It will only dilute your additive package.
I can see using Lucas temporarily sure.

The oil warning light requires real troubleshooting. Take the sensor off and run the engine for a second or so then clean your mess and put a gauge on it. This will clear any debris from the valve adjustment job that may be in the sensor port.

If the gauge shows single digits at idle, use that 20w-50 over the lucas. Since you are in FL just run 15w-40/50 instead of 5w-30 until you can get repaired.

I know a few have brought up "diluting the additive package" which is a non-issue for me because I change the oil around 4k anyway.

The oci length has nothing to do with the ad-pack being diluted, the detergent is diluted, the anti-foaming agent is diluted, the anti-wear , and the friction modifier is diluted. None of that is a good thing for any amount of mileage. Of course a longer oci is not good, but leave that product on the shelf for the less informed, more gullible buyers.
