oddball request

I've recetnly purhcased a 1987 MB 300 SDL as a commuter car. Love driving the thing.

I noticed that the water temp can get a bit hot on the heat of day and read up on why this is. Apparently the viscous fan clutch loses its fluid over time.

I put some 3000 cst fan clutch fluid from a toyota dealer in there and that helped, but I think it needs more still. The dealer is all out of the stuff and if I can get this taken care of over the weekend that would be great. I've heard of people using STP oil treatment for this purpose but then I read here that it's only aout 100 cst.

Is there a substance in the range of a few thousand cst that I can pick up at an auto parts store?

there are two - one was out completely (said they stopped keeping the stuff on hand due to slow sales) and the other dealer had one bottle which I bought.

Hit this website(parts.com), pick one of the toyota online parts dealers, search by factory toyota PN, and have it delivered to your door.

Earlier today I spent 30 minutes googling your request.
THAT is one rare viscosity. I couldn't find ANYTHING equivalent for sale on retail shelves, although Dow Corning makes a product I suspect would function as a replacement for the Toyota stuff.
I don't believe Dow Corning actually sells it retail, though.
