Car had been standing in torrential rain for about 10 days (I;ve lost my overhead cover) and when I took it for a long run it initially had a squeek apparently coming from the steering column at fairly extreme lock.
Odd because it persisted at constant lock, so I suppose it isn't originating in the column and might be from a CV joint.
Seemed to have gone away by the end of the drive, but I daresay it'll be back.
Anything special indicated for lubricating steering columns? If not I might give it a blast with some mystery spray grease.
I believe CV joints should have high molybdenum grease? That'll be challenging/impossible to find in a recognisable brand here but I'll be back in The Yook over the summer so I could probably get some there.
