after searching for a good high mileage oil ive decided to go with mobil 1 hm 10w30 for my 94 lt1 with 192k on it. The car is only driven during track season march to november. Car maybe sees 300 miles a month, with about 20 track passes a month. Car is a stock internal bolt on car that runs 12.7's. It has a small oil leak (1 to maybe 2 quarts of oil a month) it consumes no oil. Ive decided to use a hm oil to slow down the oil leak unti i have enough money to build the motor. Ive decided mobil 1 hm because i can only find two fully synthetic hm oils valvoline and mobil 1. Mobil 10w30 hm has more visocisty then valvoline for a 30 weight. I plan to stick with a 30 weight due to the motor having stock clearances. What kind of oci inverval should i do with this vehicle?

Same here,3/3000 per Nissan maintenance. Give the HM a try,it`s awesome! My friend uses the 10W30HM in his TTZ.

well im guessing you dont get alot of highway to burn off any condensation or fuel dilution so ya you could go every 3 months or so. how bout whenyou bring it out change the oil and then 3 months later do it again?

thats what i have been doing with my current fill of mobil special and lubromoly oil saver. Its been a month on my current fill i wonder if i should drain it and refill with the mobil 1

The M1 HM 10w30 is an excellent oil choice. I don't think that a 3000-mile OCI would be very challenging for M1 HM. I used to have a '97 LT1 Camaro that I did autocross and road course track days with on M1 5w30. I changed oil when the oil life monitor told me to, and never had a problem. If I was doing a lot of track days, the OLM would require an oil change in 5000 miles.

Also, it might be a good thing for you to drive the car more with the HM oil in order to heat it up for extended periods and give the detergents a chance to do some cleaning.
