So today did this oc on my truck:
My Ranger,
OUT: Peak Synthetic 5w20 with Purolator Classic, with a filter fill of Peak 5w30 conventional @ 5k OCI

IN: Peak Synthetic 5w30 with K&N Filter, with a Filter Fill of Peak 5w30 conventional!

Looking at a 8-10k OCI Now with the better filter, with it coming out an amber color today that could of easily done 3k more

though i used my 10$ aap coupon, on top of the 5$ peak rebate plus a check came in a few weeks ago from peak saying "heres 10$ toward your next oc on us!" it came out to a 10$ oc

not bad guy was trying to push the castrol/d+ deal for 32 saying it was better priced blah, but after rebates and coupons i won LOL.

Awesome deal you came across. I don't imagine you will have any issue with making 10k. What's with filling up the filter with the conventional oil? Are you just using up what you've got?

I do 10K OCIs with MC filters with no problems. The more expensive filters are fine, but any decent filter will go 10-15K with a clean engine to start with.

Get rid of the Conventional I have around, once the bottles are empty ill go to straight synthetic, figure it wont hurt it

Nah, it won't hurt a thing. And yes, filters are pretty durable. I have constantly ran 8k oci with Supertech filters, and some say their cheapness is the anti-Crist.
