I've read in another thread that someone here uses Nylon Garage Door Rollers. I recently had to replace my opener due to lightning strike. Going from a chain drive to screw drive got a lot quieter. Would it be whisper quiet if I replaced the 11 yr-old metal rollers with Nylon? What Nylon rollers would you recommend? Are the precision ball bearing ones that much better? By searching, I found this site has good prices:

Prices range from 99 cents to $3.18 each. Home Depot has packages of 2 for around 6-$7. What's a 10 Ball, 13 Ball, etc.? Any experience or opinions are welcome.

Nylon would be mmuch quieter. 10 and 13 ball referes to the number of ball bearings in each roller. the more balls, the more load it should be able to take. Nylon is a very wear-resistant 'plastic', and will last for years. i would not hesitate using them at all.
