NV4500 Oil

Guys, I hate to beat on a dead horse, and I have searched for the topic using the search function, but I cant find any info on the matter. Question is, has anyone used Valvoline Syncromesh GL-4 in your NV4500? There has to be an acceptable replacement for that discontinued oil that is recommended from Castroil. What arw you guys running? In waiting on parts for my rebuild and want to have regular oil changes in my tranny and money is tight.

Syncromesh is too thin for a NV4500, That's for use in the light duty NV3500.
