Hello all,

Just detailed my (new to me) older 2003 Dodge Durango. Clayed and used Nu Finish. Looks really good. Also ordered Sonax Polymer Net Shield as per a post on here. What are your thoughts and experiences with either of these products? Liked Nu Finishes once a year vs 6 month Sonnax...perhaps marketing hype. Any info would help. Thanks.

I like and use nufinish. Once I run out of it, I will try duragloss. Sonnax I haven't tried yet. Let us know how it works for you.

Collinite is a good one too...

My recent use of Net Shield has been very good. I love the stuff now.

I've used Nu Finish, and enjoyed the shine and protection it provided, but I'd take Net Shield over Nu Finish any day.

Nu Finish may last a touch longer, but Net Shield doesn't leave any unsightly white reside on plastic trim. In fact, it does a pretty good job of making plastics look really nice!!! That is enough for me to pick NS over NF.

Thanks Phishin,

Someone told me the Nu Finish in the paste container doesn't leave white residue like the liquid form of Nu Finish? I used the paste and have had no white residue. Excited to try Net Shield.

For me Nu Finish Paste does leave white residue in chips and cracks use a tooth brush to remove . I use it on the roof of my suv where I cant see it. It does last a long time. I like Duragloss 105 and 501 on places where there are no paint chips. Turtle Wax Ice paste on the front where there are paint chips and on and near black plastic trim it is clear at all times. I will use up my Nu Finish and then only use Duragloss and Ice

For looks, I'm extremely happy with Meguiar's NXT 2.0 Tech Wax paste, but unfortunately it's no longer available, and the durability is not the best. I will, however, agree with others here who mentioned Collinite 845 - This stuff is amazing. Looks great and lasts a LONG time. More expensive the Nu Finish, but also, IMHO, a better product.
