Ok guys and gals.
My rebuilt engine that failed do to a bad head gasket is now almost cleaned up and just awaiting parts.

Here we go what do Ya'all recommend to clean the gunk off the head and deck and off the pistons. Have to be something I can get locally.

I will then run a bunch of very short OCI's to clean the gunk out what do you recommend for an oil here?

After that I will go back to my plan of running Redline 10w30

My thoughts are either with Pennzoil, Castrol dino or Motorcraft 5w30

Then will run a longer interval to test.

Ken
