The Toyota engine plant here in North AL just celebrated producing its 10 millionth engine. That's a lot of ICEs!

I assume that 10 million also includes all the replacement twin turbo 3.5L V6 that had to be manufactured because the first ones failed

Several foreign owned brands are at least partially made in America now, which I'm in favor of in the grand scheme of things.

My Ford was made in Mexico. My Chevy was made in Canada. My Nissan was made in Mississippi.

My opinion is that it matters less where a car is built and more where management has their roots. I would rather have a car made in Japan than anywhere else, but I would absolutely buy a vehicle produced in the Kentucky Toyota plant over a car made in Japan by the Big 3 if such a thing existed. And I say that having taught some of the people who work there LOL. American manufacturing is still world-class; it’s American management that needs fixing.
