I plan on doing a change with normal mobil 1 5W30 on a 2.5 altima coupe which i usually put Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5W30 in which i run for 8000 miles do you think the normal M1 can stand up to 8000 Miles?

Thanks Grambo

I use those thru the winter so I'm not having to change the filter if I choose to do an OC.

I ran one up to 18K once.

We have a member here who runs Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy in his two cars on 10K drains and has done so on various flavors of M1 in a variety of cars he's owned over the past few decades, so I'd say that 8K would be safe.
If you want to use M1, why not go with the superior 0W-30?
That's what XOM would recommend on the M1 site.

I would not put to much into that warranty. Unless the following apply.

What the Period of Coverage Is
The Mobil 1 limited warranty is valid for 10,000 miles or your vehicle’s OEM recommended oil change interval, whichever is longer.

Additional requirements for all Mobil 1 products include:
Oils must be put in service not later than five (5) years from the date of purchase; and
an oil change must be completed every twelve (12) months.

Well, that answers a lot of storage and OCI questions about Mobil 1!

10K OCIs has been the norm for me since 1978 with a varity of Mobil 1 oils in many differant engines.
