I meant to get white Li grease paste for my car door hinges as is usually advised, but it turns out it's not white. Is it still okay to use?

Are you pulling the pins? and to know there is bronze bushings in them, grease is not for this application,,a couple of drops of oil,or a spray lube, like Schaeffers Pentro 90,Amsoil general spray,Slick 50 spray,or similar ,also check the door holder arm/cam they also creak and squeek, best to lube a couple of times a year or even every oil change.BL

I'm not taking them apart. Pat Goss and a quick Google search bring up nothing but white lithium grease. I tried a spray and it makes an unholy mess.

Hold the nozzle up agains the joint you want to shoot the grease in and hold a tightly wrapped paper towel around the area. Not perfect, buy it minimizes the mess.

Lately I just use whatever oil is handy and put a few drops on each joint, then wipe the excess off later.
