What are the best corrosion inhibitors that are non toxic or even food safe? Right now it looks like other than mineral oil there are some plant based oils out there. I don’t need the best lube just good, storage stable non toxicity.

Any thoughts on some others like Kano microlight or fluid film?

Fluid-Film and Woolwax are lanolin based and derived from sheep's wool. They're probably not 100% chemical free as the lanolin is likely solvent processed when stripped from the wool during processing, but probably less toxic overall.

Not to be weird but Crisco actually attracts and harbors moisture. I thought of this as well because I thought it repelled moisture but it's some sort of fatty acid thing with the hydrogenation, I think...

Super Lube Synthetic Multi Purpose Grease is NSF Food rated.

Harbor Freight sells it and Amazon. I think Harbor Freight is a few dollars less.

ON the back of the Harbor Freight is the info on NSF food safe but no photo of it here so check where you purchase but mine has it on the back then again maybe the front. Home Depot on the front.
