We have 2 homes that are 1000 miles apart. WE make the drive about 6 times/yr. We use our 07 GMC Yukon Denali w/gasoline 6.2.

Total time: 15 hrs & 19 mins (1 day)

Total stopped time 39 min (2 fuel stops)

Total avg moving speed of 65.5 mph

Total moving time 14 hrs & 40 mins

Total avg overall speed 62.7 mph

No lunch stop, we take it with us.

Rated at 20 mpg highway. At $5 / gal that's $250 in gas per trip, $1500 / year. If your payload allows it, you'd use half the fuel in an economy hatchback, saving $750 / year from that trip alone, plus more for all the other driving you do. Not to mention lower overall costs of ownership.

Trucks are expensive to own & operate. But if you need the payload, then you need it.

Unfortunately some seem intent on using this forum as a proxy to rant about politics.

There is only one thing that will cause any change to the current situation.

It is not virtue signaling on an oil forum.
