No by-pass valve in the AC PF47C.
So the engine is equipped with one.
How can I tell , or how can I get to it to make sure that the valve is not stuck open or sticking ?

If you feel your oil filter after having driven the car a while, and the oil filter is still cool to the touch, then the bypass in your engine would be stuck open. If the filter is hot, the bypass valve is working properly.

From what I understand it's quite rare for GM engine's bypass setups to fail, they are quite stout. I personally am glad they have it in the engine instead of in the filter, I just wish I knew what it's operating pressures were. Nobody can seem to find out this info for me, even the LT1 guys with the service manuals can seem to get this info for me.
