Nissan Juke

It's not on sale here in the US yet, but I understand
the Nissan Juke has been sold in Europe for several months.
Anyone have any input on this vehicle?

An intersting shape, that does not appear to have been copied from anything Euro, or is there also a Renault analog?
Lots of the surface excitement that once characterized all Japanese cars.
It isn't so much ***** as it is unique.

The front end looks like a Neon...But the Neon looks a trillion times better.

The black piece under the bumper needs to not curve up so much and the headlights should be a bit more recessed into the front fascia. Might actually look okay. And ditch the turn signals on the fenders. Right now it looks kind of cute with a dash of ugly.

I don't know, the more I look at it...the more I like it! I can live without the center console being painted the same color as the exterior, and I am sure I would not want the CVT Nissan will probably bolt up to the it.

Unique looking beast. Whatever happened, though, to naming cars from fierce wild animals -- Cougar, Mustang, Falcon, Sting Ray? Now we get "Soul" and "Juke."

The styling is definitely love it or hate it. I like it except for the turn signals atop the front fenders.

Not a run of the mill boring subcompact. Mechanically, its quite interesting---1.6 L turbocharged and direct-injected engine. If I remember what I read the engine makes 180+hp, with a very flat torque curve; 6 spd. manual or CVT transmissions; AWD available.

I believe the car will be in the U.S. in October. I'm actually considering one when my Maxima lease runs out in November. (I wanna get a smaller car, but this might be too small.)

All the reviews I've read have been quite positive(I'm too lazy to find the links right now )about the way the car drives.

hehe, no, I'm pretty neutral to what it looks like but it seems to have far less useable space than their old X-trail. We went camping last week with my 7 month boy and it was a tight squeeze into the old tracker...
