NISSAN Frontier Quality/Durability

It would be #1 on my list to investigate were I in the market for a new truck.

You didn’t ask, but you might be able to land a screaming deal on a Titan since they are discontinued after 24.

Heard everything from the current generation being the best to it being amongst the worst.

Personally, I'd go with the new Frontier over the new Tacoma.

IIRC the current frontier doesn’t have cylinder deactivation, which equates as a plus for me. Right price, 0% loan I’d buy a base model in a heartbeat.
The only annoyance they added in 2023 is stop/start technology and a larger battery to accompany it. There is a disable button on the dash for it though.

Like you say, no cylinder deactivation, just a relatively ordinary GDI 3.8L V6. They still have old school hydraulic rack and pinion steering, but do have all electronic brake boost like the Tacoma. No vacuum booster.

I just bought a start/stop disabler for our new Frontier. Works like a champ. Whoever designed, and mandated, this nonsense should be drawn and quartered. Just my opinion.
