Nissan filter question

I have a 2011 Nissan Altima with a 2.5L 4cylinder engine with about 21,000 miles. I had a couple of Nissan filters given to me. The part number is 15208-9E01A. They look to be a bit longer than the 15208-65F0C short filter specified. Do you think it is alright to use the longer over the shorter?

They are fine and there should be enough clearance to fit properly. However, for warranty purposes, I would only use the specified filter part number (whether that be OEM or aftermarket).

The 15208-9E01A cross-refs to a Purolator 14610, Fram 7317, etc. They are perfectly fine for use on your QR25DE. It's the size that Nissan spec'd on that engine through 2007 and what many of us Nissan owners select for use over the "shorty" that is equivalent in all ways except length.
