No, but I'm very taste sensitive and know brewing temp and time is critical for making the best cup of coffee, especially that I drink black coffee. Find a coffee maker that does both correctly for the best cup.

It seems to me (and I'm an old fashioned, cheapskate coot) that these "new fangled" coffee makers are too much machinery to make a cup of coffee.
I know the wee "K-cup" things give you 1 cup service with no waste but that might be their only desirable attribute. Don't hold your breath waiting for me to ask for a cup of raspberry-peppermint decaff coffee.
At B-J's Wholesale (a big box store) they're $149.95. I go drip or perc.

Says they use a little less ground coffee than they were before.
