Nicopp Or OEM Trans Lines

Do they even offer Nicopp lines prefabbed or are you going to fabricate your own? Depends where they are leaking from.

I repaired my neighbors Pontiac lines by cutting and splicing in some transmission coolant hose with clamps as a temp repair. Are you going to keep the Trailblazer for a while?
 
I didn't know Nicopp were prefabbed. I'll bend them myself. I plan to drive it in the Winter
 
I don't know of places that pre make out of Nicopp

However, if your willing to pay the extra and keeping the vehicle, it might be worthwhile

Stainless steel premade units are $140 or so

It should see out a typical 4L60 :unsure:
 
FWIW I have somewhat of a love affair with NiCopp or Cunifer lines. Easy to cut, easy to flare, easy to bend and doesn't corrode here in the salty Midwest. What's not to like? I posted a thread about a year ago when I replaced all the brake and fuel lines on my daughter's 96 Accord. That would have been a much more difficult job had I tried to use stainless steel or even coated plain steel lines.
 
Transmission lines aren't high pressure like brake lines so you can cut out rotted sections and replace them with a rubber line. But you could use galvanized steel, stainless steel, Nicopp, aluminum, or rubber. For transmission lines a lot of cars come with aluminum since it resists corrosion, is light and bends and flares much easier than galvanized or stainless steel.

Winter beater? Just splice in rubber. Nicer, with plans for high miles? I would just drop OE replacements in if the access is adequate.
