NGK V-Power or Iridium?

I have NGK Iridium's in my Santa Fe and they last 60,000 Miles (100,000 KM) and work fantastic. Very even fuel economy from new to needing replacement... I would buy these...

Glad I can drive them that long because you gotta take half my engine apart to get to the rear 3 plugs because the intake/plenum is in the way. P-I-T-A!

Iridium is the best. i use ngk in my mitsubishi, but for the impreza subaru, changing plugs is awkward, so i use Champion
Iridium long life: the ground has a piece of platinum, and the electrode has a nice wire like piece of iridium which is excellent. i gap them very carefully, to be sure not to damage the electrode, and i check with the feeler gauge, because a wire gauge doesn't work too well with such a tiny electrode. i also align the ground, because the piece of platinum is not always in the same place, so i twist the electrode for perfect alignment, and then i take a little time to make sure the gap is on the tight side, to allow for "wear" or vaporization of the ground/electrode, of which there will be very minimum, and basically this means that you change the plugs when it's time for a timing belt change, once every 160,000 miles. it takes me about 10 minutes to properly align a set of four.

It depends on how easy it is to change them. I prefer NGK Iridiums, but mine are a PITA to change. The V-Power are great plugs; you'll just have to change them more often.

I also did some research when I was getting a rough idle with new platinums in. Poorly made OEM wires seemed to be a common culprit with my car, so I installed new MSD wires and voila! All is well again.

I think changing out the OEM wires by 75k is always a smart idea.
