NGK Coil-on-Plug Boot Quality

I'm getting ready to change plugs on a 2010 Vibe with the 1.8 Toyota engine, and figure I should change the boots at the same time. Has anybody used NGK COP boots for an application like this? I can get them locally. RockAuto lists Standard Motor, Beck Arnley, and AC Delco "Professional." The online GM and Toyota catalogs only seem to sell the whole coil, so I'm not sure OEM is an option. The photo shows what the BA part looks like.

I wish they'd resurrect the Pontiac line.

Barring the Aztek (ranked one of the top ugliest car ever produced: https://www.google.com/search?q=pontiac+...me&ie=UTF-8), I am a fan of the Pontiac designs.

Aren't the coil-on-plug boots quite expensive? If they are expensive and you aren't having misfire problems I would pass on the replacement, but that's just me!

BTW I've never had good luck with NGK wires.

Can you get Hitachi or NDenso?

I have had 2 excellent experiences with NGK wires. My old CRV and now on my IS300. They stay nice and pliable for a lot of miles. I'd be confident that their boots are of equal quality. Have you searched for complete coils? Sometimes they can be found at a very reasonable cost.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

I think Denso made the coils. A set of 4 replacements from RockAuto would set me back $280, and the originals are fine so far.

Like GM and Toyota, the Denso website only has a listing for the whole coil, not the boots that go between the coil and the plug.

I'm curious about the NGKs because I can get them each for $5 and change, half the cost of the Belden part from NAPA. I wonder if NGK's boots are equal to the quality of their spark plugs.

Oh, and that Mercedes seems like a car trying to look like a minivan, rather than the usual van-thing trying not to look like a minivan.

There is usually no reason to change the boots on their own

They are good quality, some Denso wires are repackaged junk, they don't even have the Denso name on them. I had a #3 wire fail right out of the box on a engine you need to remove the plenum on to change them.
The NGK wires fit better, were numbered with the correct cylinder on the wire and are overall a better wire.
