IMHO - Only ice hockey, golf and biathlon should be on TV.
i'll take the hockey, you can keep the other two lol.
As soon as the Union was disbanded the "Lockout" is not possible, bc of anti-trust laws. The players put out the "Lockout" thing to garner sympathy from JoeSixpack Sports Fan.
Screw the whole thing. Without advertisements on NFL games..beer prices may decline.

However, Mr. Chris Schenkel was always a gentleman...
The owner's are not saints by any stretch so don't infer I am saying so please. With that said though I have to say I am sick to death of spoiled millionaire atheletes and their player unions who constantly whine and cry about money and try and turn the owner's into the devil. It is ridiculous to say the least.
The players have absolutely NO right to see the owner's books. That is just foolish. Employees have no rights of access to ownership's books period and end of story. These guys make a TON of money so to whine about their family and feeding their kids just turns my stomach. Even with a short 3-4 year average NFL career, and a what $500K minimum salary for the worst players, these guys should be set for life if they manage their money properly.
I have just had it with these pro atheletes and their unions constantly crying about the money. Most of them make more in a year than a lot of people will make in a decade. Some of these guys make more in one year than the average person will make in their lifetime.
The owners have the stadiums to build and/or deal with upkeep, staff to pay, taxes to pay, HUGE player salaries to pay, and on and on. They are the ones who make it possible for these spoiled children to have their jobs. The owners deserve the profits they make just as any other business owner does. The players do not have any financial stake/risk in the team and are nothing more than employees. These spoiled, arrogant, out of touch professional atheletes need to shut up and just play. Be happy with your $10 million a year. Will $11 or $12 million a year really matter?
I would be more prone to agreeing with you if $300 million of state tax dollars did not build the stadium for billionaire Jeff Lurie. The owners make money because others sacrifice their bodies (avg. NFLer only plays 3-5 years and have huge health problems afterward). Let's face it, both parties are trying to figure out how to squeeze a couple more million in a situation where it would not seem to hurt either party too much.
