That's why I luckily hit GOLD on the thread where Amazon Basics Full Synthetic 0W-40 was $6.72 for a 5 quart jug On Amazon!! I WAS skeptical, yes, but persistence. I got 4 jugs at $6.72, then one single jug at $6.72 lol.. then 5 more about a week later at $6.73 per jug.

So then. The next oil I will be trying is.. Amazon Basics 0W-40. Maybe mixed with some Quaker State Full Synthetic 5w40... Maybe.

So, if Amazon cancels the other order for 5 jugs like they did for the 4 and 1 (÷ orders total, two canceled by AMZN...)

I purchased their EC and I still have 4 qt left of HPL Supercar 0W-20.

I'm not entirely sure I have the financial ability to enjoy HPL oils exclusively, however.

I hope this provides some more insight and clarity as to that yes I love me some HPL although I'm also not beholden to HPL.

Sad thought heree... there are no new oils or oil added products that I need to try. All my engines are running either plenty of HTHS, or plenty of ZDDP, or preferably both, and always synthetic, with the equivalent of a severe service interval.

I put Redline Euro 5w30 into my Cobb tuned raptor.

Why?

Because I can.

I think the redline sticker on the truck adds 10hp. That’s how that works, right?

I'm waiting for the next mix of oil from @High Performance Lubricants . There was a discussion formulating a line of non VII oils in the super car lineup.

I would use that in my Mazda and Elantra.

Currently on Pennzoil Ultra Platium 5w20. I have a jug of Pennzoil Ultra Platium 5w20 which I will need to use up. After which I will try Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0w20.

I neglected to give my normal advice to overkill. That would be to run 3,000 mile first drain. Do not sample and do not look.

Would that be the same advice you'd give to someone switching to another HPL oil, specifically PCMO or Premium Plus?

I was aiming for 12-15k on it, which would be about a year or early October. The van I should probably do early on account of my previous 30,000 mile… “expirement” I’ll call it

Everything but the “dealer entries” is an oil change. I’m at about 34,500 now.
