We have several sets in the driveway right now. LTX MS and MS2 may be one of Michelin's best ever, but my PSS's are great too.
The MS/2s that were on my F-150 went nearly 80K and were some of the best tires I have ever owned. I cannot say the same for the AT/2s on my F-250 and with the exception of the MS/2s, I tend to find most Michelin tires are long on promise (and price) but are short on delivering those promises. Every OEM Michelin I have had (except the MS/2s) in the last 10 years has been absolute junk. Michelins were not on the list for replacements on the Explorer.

Well it would appear the M/S2 isn't available in that size anyways so yeah, I could understand you not considering other Michelin offerings based on your experience.

Sometimes its the chassis/unit NOT the tire fault - a good tire will not make a prezel chassis drivable. An MOST are tweaked - few are super straight. I think the WORST tire I've bought was a base goodyear VIVA or ? Some of the best were Falken Ziex - they didnt last long, but had great performance on my 2005 Suzuki Aerio SX 2.3L MT5.

Installed the back two today and for $135 each, I am very satisfied with the look, quality, and ride thus far:
