I have done some searching on the subject of cleaning carbon out of the engine and want to make sure of what I've read. It seems like what some of you have done is take a fuel injector cleaner type of product and simply put it straight into the engine via a vacuum inlet. Is this correct or am I not reading things correctly?
I am pretty competent when it comes to auto mechanics, but have not done anything like this. I know I have a fair amount of carbon on the pistons on my car and if there is a pretty safe way of removing it without a teardown I'm open to it. I'm also planning on running auto-rx in the engine soon. Any info here would be appreciated. Thanks.
