New Yokohama YK-GTX Tires

Another Discount/America's Tire Exclusive.

The YK-GTX appears to be slightly different than its predecessor, the YK740 GTX.

The YK-GTX has a longer treadwear warranty (70k vs. 60K) and the marketing language suggests treadwear was a greater priority with this tire.

Does anyone own a set?

Just put YK740 GTX 235 /50 R17 on the Fusion. Less than 500 miles so not much to report unfortunately. DT overfilled the tires which made the ride horrible. Didn’t like it. Took it down to the normal range and they got way better.

my sw desert 2014 toyota yaris got a set of yokohama yk740 18 months ago, replacing uniroyal tiger paws that came with this ex-hertz rental purchased in 2016. the yk740 are well worth the extra cost over dt’s cheaper tires for my yaris. buy yk from dt with confidence.
