It looks like this is the successor of Valvoline Modern Engine as the PI sheets state that it is made specifically for direct injection engines.

Walmart just came out with a 20k synthetic...now Valvoline....When Mobil came out with AP they priced it too high and it flopped. The Walmart 20k oil is very reasonably priced ($16.96 for the 5 qt. jug). If Valvoline prices this right it should do well.

They haven’t even got API or SAE ratings on the jug, it’s a no for me lol..

Excellent. Haven’t seen it at Walmart yet. I went to check on the Pennzoil they had on closeout and they were all sold out and they had the Valvoline Modern Engine on closeout but it was only a dollar off I’m waiting on it to go down more. I will only use this oil if they get rid of conventional all together and I can’t get it anymore. I like Valvoline since it’s the oil that started it all.

My point is that they made the 0W20 a little thicker that the 5W20.

I'm only interested in one thing is this another effort by Valvoline to join the $45 to $50 a Jug price. Where the real data that shows this oil will give your car 100,000 more miles of engine life?
