I have a Lobster wrench that I found laying on the side of the highway. I use it every chance I get. It looks like it would survive a nuclear attack.

that's a nice alternative to the bahco brand adjustable wrench. I am always interested in a thin jaw adjustable. thin jaws have come in handy on more occasions than the wrench itself.
The form factor of that makes WAY more sense than the stupid short hoses on mine!
I had an old bahco when they were still Swedish made in my work truck but a colleague borrowed it when I was on extended leave and lost it in the bush.
I think some of the more recent bahco stuff is made in Spain.
Lobster was less than half the cost of a Spanish bahco, time will tell if it’s just as good but at this stage I like it.
thin jaws like that are good for brake caliper slide pins when you need a backer wrench and plumbing when removing expansion tanks. thanks for sharing.
Not really new tools, but second hand toolboxes. I've acquired these over time the past 12 months from cheap sources. Its been difficult to resist dropping $1k+ on brand new boxes. Have been working out of and hauling Milwaukee packouts at the family ranch property for some time now but it no longer makes sense in the short term.

I found another use for an adjustable, open jaw oil filter wrench.
I decided I wanted a snack so I grabbed a bag of chips and a jar of Tostitos Creamy Spinach Dip.
Lid doesn't want to budge because of high vacuum packing no matter what I do.
I grab my filter wrench and.....problem solved.

Hmm. I never thought of getting an oil filter wrench for the kitchen...I found another use for an adjustable, open jaw oil filter wrench.

I actually gifted a set of rubber strap wrenches to my mom ~20 years ago for kitchen lids. They were Alltrade from O'ReillyHmm. I never thought of getting an oil filter wrench for the kitchen...
I also found the fabric/woven strap wrenches are amazing for unthreading stubborn manual transmission shifter knobs. You can tourniquet around it but not leave marks like pliers or pipe wrenches would.
Not quite the same, but I've bought a dedicated oil filter wrench specifically for opening 5 gallon containers of liquid chlorine shock for our pool. I go through about 40 gallons per season, and the chlorine is very corrosive, so they get a dedicated pair for the container lids. The lids are gasketed and very tight.
