New tool thread

I was trying to get the shallow Metric sockets, but couldn't find them. I did score the long ratcheting wrenches and reversible ratcheting wrenches in both SAE and Metric. I wasn't really looking to spend that money, but couldn't pass up the deals.
I just ordered two 1/2 V flex ratchets for 20 each. These are much like Proto but made in Taiwan.

Snap-on got me today lol. New rolling seat with drawer. Two new 1/4 drive ratchets and a set of pink shears for the cause. The ratchets are model numbers TKF72 stubby with a 2023 date code and then the mid length one is TL72 and it’s a 2024 date code. I’ve been looking for these two lengths for a bit and he just happened to have them today. I know everyone will say I paid too much for the stool but honestly I am tired of breaking the cheap ones after a few months so decided to get a nice one this time. It even has a drawer on it too which is what I wanted.

Can't believe I went for so long without a proper brake caliper piston retraction tool. Always rented one when doing retraction that required the piston be rotated at the same time. 2/3 of my VW fleet has EPB so was rather moot to get a tool set. Just happened to get one with ECS Tuning Lifetime Replacement Parts credits a couple weeks ago, right in time to do a co-worker's Passat and my son's GLI rear brakes. Retracts standard pistons as well. Screw towers have magnets to hold on pin discs. Saved a lot of time and cussing. Made beer time that much more enjoyable too 😁.

Curious what your use case is for those LONG wrenches.
Leverage like the 22 mm strut bolts on a Camry. Of course I did it with breaker bars and a 3/4 ratchet already. I use hand tools primarily. Among other reasons like reach. Or there is no reason at all. It’s a new tool thread, this is a new tool.

No criticism, was genuinely curious. Nice looking wrenches.

I figured you’re interested in why, not criticizing me when wrote it. But I admit I tend to buy more than I need. Then it becomes the topic well we should do things in life we like. I know that has been used as the reason to change cars more than once.
I can see the wrenches were made fast, but the fit on the ones I tried was very good.
Actually one of the reasons to get them is it takes less toll on the hands to use them. Well I guess that is another excuse even if true.
