The few I looked up seem pretty obscure, like the 44752 claims to work for "2001 Aztek (P,CN), 2002 U-Van AWD (C,O,P), 2003 REndezvous(B)." I can nearly guarantee I'll never even lay hands on a transmission in any of those vehicles!
What is that used for? Other than "clamping" which is obvious.Got this Irwin chain clamp at Amazon for $31. Made in Taiwan. Airgas.com sells them for $19.70 each if you buy 5 of them. The chain is 18" long, the body is 9" long. An optional 18" chain extension is available for around $16.

What brand? I've had decent luck with BriteStar, good luck with Shark, and of course 3M is great. Also ordered a bag of “cookies” as we call them. Much cheaper on Amazon than the local auto store. Got a spare set of arbors for the 2” wheels and one for 3” too.

Cheap ones don't last. For me they're literally not worth whatever I paid for them.
I have used them to hold a crank pulley to remove the inner bolt. Not really a good tool imo but maybe i was using it wrong. Other ways were more effective. What is that used for? Other than "clamping" which is obvious.
Update on the Dewalt DCF891
This thing is great. Very good weight and power. Kind of my go to for 1/2 initially now.
Made in USAimpact that works great.
Picture of it in the wild
Curious what did yours in. My Dad has one that he has been using daily for over a year and a half and other than being a little light on torque no issues. He just upgraded to the high torque and that thing is a beast.Well hell last week that DCF891 had a failure. Sounds like the inside took a crap it moves a little but sounds like something broke.
Made it like a whole 4 months
Sent in for service… bought a 2962 Milwaukee on Tuesday milwaukees version of the 1/2 mid torque.
See how this fairs after 4 months of the same use.

l knew what they were right away too!Hose clamp pliers. Love mine.
Well that's interesting ...Fuse Buddy testers. Actually got these as a promo with another tester I bought 10 or 15 years ago, but this is the first time I used them. Take the fuse out of the fusebox and stick it into the end of the tester, then plug the tester into where the fuse went. Activate the electrical part you want to check, and it shows how many amps it's using. Just diag'd a bad electric fan that was blowing a fuse. It powered up fine with 12V but you wouldn't know it was bad unless you see how much current it draws.
