Judging by the specs provided by Firestone, it seems like a decent tire for general driving. The price you paid seems like a good price for that tire. Concerning the 70,000 mile warranty...Do what is called for otherwise they can find some excuse to deny you.
The wear rating is 560 which seems low to me for a tire with a 70,000 mile warranty. I could be wrong though.
