I had the Long Trail Tour 275/60/17's on my Supercharged Frontier for a year or better. They did just fine in all conditions, and would have lasted 50k or a bit more. I did a fair amount of off-road driving in the summertime, and they held up. Probably one of the best tires I had on the truck.

Unlike the original Radial Long Trail, these aren't directional tread which was a big plus for me.

We had some bad rain here today, my truck did great in the thunderstorms on the way home from work. The tires had great wet traction, and there was not even a hint of hydroplaning when I went through standing water in the road.

These BFG's are doing fine, MPG seems to be about the same as I had with my Firestones. I need to run through a few more tanks to really tell how the gas mileage is doing.

You shouldn't have any traction issues on brand-new tires.

Most don't start showing their traction problems til around 25-30k if they're going to have issues.

The tread pattern on those BFG's has changed a lot, they should serve you find in FL

I'm interested in putting these on my Dodge Nitro....quick question.....is the reverse side OWL as well? I don't think these are unidirectional and wondering if the other side is black lettering rather than white, which is my preference for my current ride.

Only one side has white letters, and they are non-directional tires, so you can have your installer "flip" them. Only downside is the DOT date code will likely be on the inside only then.
