Kind of split between the Cooper Discover AT/3 or Firestone Destination AT's. My truck is a 2 wheel drive and I'm after a good year round tire suitable for West Michigan winter's. Comments??

The Cooper Discoverer A/T 3 was Consumer Reports' #1-rated AT tire in their most recent AT tire testing. Second was the Michelin LTX A/T 2, and third was the Hankook Dynapro ATM.

They did not test the BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO, which I believe might have out-classed them all.

Firestone Destination AT's
Mine aren't very good in snow after a few years on the road. I like the tires a lot otherwise.

for a mild AT

I'd look at

cooper at/3
toyo open country AT
bridgestone revo2's

firestone AT's

Goodyear Silent Armor

In no particular order.

if you wanted a less AT tire more street.

I'd go firestone LE2's or michelin ltx ms2

for an aggressive AT

No complaints about the new set of Cooper Discoverer A/T3's that I have. They're definitely quieter than I expected.

Only downside is about a 1/4 mile of what feels like mild "flat spotting" after the truck has sat without being moved for several days. I'm betting that this improves after the tires get more miles on them.

Still haven't had enough snow to get a good idea of its snow traction. (But I'm not complaining... I really don't *have* to know how well they do in the snow...)
