I recently got a new mower. 16 year old grasshopper 928D. Mows like a dream, 72 inch deck seems gigantic to me.

Has a Kubota d1105 28hp diesel. Runs like a top. Parker wheel motors and hydro gear pumps.

Looks great for an old mower and it is nearly as big as the mini, maybe bigger 😜👍

Our local public works department got rid of all of their John Deere and Kubota equipment and switched over to 100% Grasshopper mowers recently. They love them.

I want to see that on a trailer behind the kei truck! 😄

What a beaut! So clean! Was it restored, or is that all original?

As good as new ones look, they're not built anything like that.

Wow I burnt up the pto belts on this on my first mow. I mean they disintegrated in a big puff of smoke, I thought I set the grass on fire.

I replace the belts with the surprisingly affordable grasshopper replacements, and have mowed about 6 acres since. Hopefully it was just old belts, I guess if they were original to the mower they would have been 16-17 years old. 560 hours on the mower but I have the feeling it has been sitting for a few years before I purchased it.

Yeah sitting would do it. I've had the same thing happen with mower deck belts.

Now you need a suspension seat update because if you ever use one you will never go back. The front center castor on the deck is bad about excessive wear and breaking. I think grasshopper sales a upgraded castor for that model but don't hold me to it.
