Good morning I’ve been a member for a while, but I really never posted much in a while. I was just wondering what would you guys recommend for a 24 Nissan Titan with 6.2L ? mileage wise for the first oil change? Plus the second and third. Currently vehicle has 8 miles. What kind of oil would you guys recommend owners manual recommends 0w20 ? Also is the euro oil a better idea?
And which brand of oil filter is recommended these days? lol thanks for all your help in advance.

You mean the 5.6? If so yeah use anything. I'm using 0/5w-40 in my 2021 escalade with the 6.2 instead of 0w-20 and I'm still under factory warranty, it's dead silent at hot idle and burns far less oil and works the same. Mpg went down by 0.1 maybe 0.2 mpg tank average but there's margin of error. I'm not going to wait until after the warranty to use a good oil. As for brand it barely matters. What matters more is that it has proper approvals. M1 ESP 0w-30 is popular at the moment and it's very good oil. I just noticed it's you first post but you joined in 2012, that's neat. I would've forgotten my username and made a new account.

I’m a fan of changing oil early (500-1000 miles). Some will say not necessary but I do it because that is what I want to do.

Will you be towing or hauling heavy loads regularly?
That’s what I was thinking I won’t be hauling or Towing

I stand corrected you absolutely right 5.6 L I think I posted one or two times when I first joined lol

IMO, the port injected Nissan 5.6L was an outstanding engine in terms of power, reliability and longevity. I am not so sure with the GDI version. It's an extremely expensive engine. There's a few videos online with late model 5.6's sludged up to the point of death due to stretching the OCIs. Rebuilding them is more costly than the ~$13K price tag for a new engine. I would run synthetic 5w30 in them and never exceed a 5K mile OCI.

Thank you all for the replies on oil recommendations. I was just curious about oil filters or should I post that in the oil filter section thanks.

I'm using Valvoline Advanced 0w20 garage box in my 23 Armada (same engine). It runs quiet and smooth. Because of DI, I will be changing no later than 3000 miles. The oil filter is the Nissan 15208-9E01A.

Look at the 2025 Armada. They went from a V8 to a 3.5 liter twin turbo V6 (425hp/~500tq). The engine supposedly based off the GTR.

I will be keeping mine for awhile!
I think the application of the Armada and the Titan are different. The old adage IMO stays true when it comes to heavy use out of a truck:

"There no replacement for displacement"

Sure some of these newer trucks with low displacement turbo engines IMO are not going to last like the V8s. High power per cylinder\displacement thing. There has to be a trade somewhere.

My last 3 new nissans were changed early (1K, then 5K) and one is approaching 100k with no oil usage at all. Stick with whatever the manual states as far as grade and sp gf6. Filters can be whatever, but nissans oem filters kind of suck!
I've had 2 adbvs flip open and stay there, causing a startup rattle. I'm running champ xls on my 21 and 24 and a bosch on my 18 with no issues but have ran just about everything else.
