as part of a company wide refresh of packaging and labeling of meijer brand products, and meijer owned Brands,
meijer Oil, Antifreeze, starting Fluid, etc, are becoming "Auto Quest" products.

we got a couple of cases of High Mileage oil with the new Label, and new UPC, but promised to be the same stuff, back label still shows Warren oil company of Dunn, NC.
anyway, Photo of the new Bottle!

Fixing something that wasn't broken?
I believe that Meijer used to label their house brand "Auto Trend"?
I liked the honesty of Meijer labeling their house brand motor oil "Meijer".

I agree, for any retailer brand product.
meijer surely has more brand value than some new made up name.

This sort of thing happens all the time. It makes the product look less generic and more name brand. Sales will increase no doubt. I personally don't care what the package looks like one bit.

Walmart and Kroger already do this with their oil though. It's not Walmart auto products and Kroger auto products. It's Supertech and Mototech.

Big problem I have with the Autoquest is the 30wt and 10w-40 us now SN. The Meijer is SL.
I have been using Meijer 30 in lawnmower engines that call for 30wt for several years. I used to be able to get Penzoil 30 in do but it went to SN about 3-4 years ago.
I would hope the SL has more zinc which is the more the better for sloppy fit, no rod bearing small engines.
Never have seen any analysis on either to compare but the SL makes me feel better.
The price on meijer brand has been the 2nd cheapest available locally with rural king being even cheaper but not SL.
I do a lot of small engine oil changes and hate to spend over 4-5 bucks a quart for Kohler, Briggs etc branded oil to try to get more zinc.
I have used Valvoline Racing many times when on sale for 4.29-4.69 it has a lot of zinc but I like the liked the meijer at 2.49 (old price) better.

The SN rated 30 and 10W-40 more than likely have SL-ish ZDDP levels, as the SN spec allows 30, 40, 10W-40, and 20W-50 to have higher levels than 10W-30 and thinner. Essentially, all the non ILSAC grades can have such levels. See if PQIA has tested the Auto Quest brands in those grades to see for sure.
