new motul 300v oil

300V is a race oil and has never been certified, just like Redline. They can claim it "meets" or "exceeds" the specs but it will likely never wear the starbust symbol.

I have heard anecdotal testimony that motul is good oil but have seen reports of it not holding up well in uoa. And the cost is nuts. It's a racing oil made for racing. Not much detergency so over time it will cause build up. Has anyone got any real world info on motul.

The existing 300V has quite a bit of detergency. I don't have any personal experience with it because of the high cost.

Check the used oil analysis forum. Several used oil analysis there on various Motul oils including 300V.

You are wrong. TBN is over 10 and holds up well.

I have several used oil analysis of 300V in my daily driven AND tracked Audi S4 (4.2L 40V V8). Repeatedly shows very good results.

Where is the cheapest place for a guy in Indiana to get 300v? Which web site because I know it's not local.

I like the fact it comes in metal tins. It's like clear plastic bottles. I just like them.

agreed. It's probably killing their catalytic converters but that's par for the course. Sacrifice emissions for good looking UOA.

No no no, hold on, they are taking this to the next level ...here's what they say in their MSDS for the 300v...it stuck in my head as ridiculously snobby this is: "above all standards" and they recommend this for street driven cars as they contain enough detergents they say...so what this is? is more like Redline's street multigrade zinc fortified oils.

At least Red Line blends top notch esters for both street and racing lines ..which are very comprehensive.

Diesters are not even that expensive compared to polyol type. They still have a huge price in France (compared to all other brands). This is sooo overpriced. I do like the JDM packaging. I heard this is required for esters but then why doesn't Red Line do it?

And starburst symbol on a France produced oil(or any european market oil for that matter)?
