new motul 300v oil

spoke with joey at motul(what a great guy and oils!!)he said motul is coming out with a new 300v next year..its called motul 300v core it is better then their 300v oils... this new oil will replace 300v...keep eye on their new site which is up now.

Talked to Joey and he said this stuff is probably about a year away. They are ADDING a new grade, which is 0w40. They haven't offered a 0w40 for a while now.

He did say this will be the "next generation" of 300V, not a supplemental offering.

Yes. Early 300V was single ester, and current 300V is double ester, he said. I'd say he was alluding to a tri-ester composition or something like that. He also said that he was asking a lot of questions...existing 300V was really good so why change it?

Either way, I'll keep my ear to the ground. He encouraged me to call back later this year to get more information.

Looks like Motul is revamping their product line.
The 8100 X-Clean 5W-40 disappeared from French and Spanish web sites which probably has to do with 2008 ACEA requirements for diesel oils. X-Clean was A3-B3,B4 and C3.
It is still available in Canada though with no indications that it will be discontinued. Not sure about the US.

Motul USA told me the other day they're targeting mid-2012 for release, but have no new info to disclose at this time.

Like we said above, 300V "Core" is the next generation of 300V.
