I have always been a fan of Morgan, driven a few and always return smiling. Tired, windblown but smiling, really grinning like an idiot. Obviously, Morgan's offerings evolve at their own pace but I think I am in love with this, well save for the auto box, but this is so much better aesthetically than their Aero series which were just a bit too weird IMHO.

Great combo of performance, modern expectations of comfort (well, Mog's interpretation of that), evolved looks and that sound. Those wheels are the best I've seen in ages on a new offering, but I have odd taste. Side curtains in 2025! Wonder if you still have the valve that oils the kingpins ;)

The aero series were neat as I think they had the BMW 4.4 V8 with an avatar manual transmission. Morgan is coming back to the USA but due to their classification as a "Botique low volume " manufacturer can only sell 250 or so per year in the USA. Apparently they dropped the manual option and they're ZF 8 spd auto only.

It needs chromed wire wheels!

Hand built, high end components and materials, plus R&D, certification costs, etc. all amortized over a very low volume production run. Add in the costs of custom components all bought in low volumes, each having their own R&D and other costs. All of that and I wouldn't expect Mog's production line to be the model of Honda/Toyota like efficiency.

Think what a Camry would cost if only 1,000 were made?

Nice car but certain things on a classic are untouchable. Spoke wheels, regular (looking) headlights. And maybe a manual trans (preferable). But yes, would be tough to say "no thank you" if I was offered one!

I drive a classic Triumph motorcycle, (Thruxton 865 cc cafe racer). You would be amazed at how many people call out when stopped at the light or when visiting my local road-side ice cream outlet. Yes, I'm a sucker for the classic look!
