I use it in my Unimog. It is the only 5W40 available in the US on the MB 228.5 list.
I have posted a VOA of it.
I went 20500 mi on one change (29.6L sump), I did not get a used oil analysis because I changed it on a farm in Western Australia and I used top-up of 5L of Castrol Enduron low SAPS 5W40 and 2.5L of Delvac 1 non SHC 5W40.
With 228.5 approved oils and absent EGR MB recommends up to 1200 hrs (about 35-40K mi) in my application.

you can order it from Mobil distributors in 55 gal lots.
It is good oil for European diesels.

Thanks, m37charlie. Regardless of the methodology of TBN determination, 14 is plenty! I'm kind of surprised at the relatively low zinc and phosphorous numbers. The relevant ACEA specification doesn't limit phosphorous, if I recall correctly.

@buster: It has a better VI than my Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40!

Garak - All Delvac products are really designed for Industrial use. Some are expensive but their durability when used correctly is beyond question - so is their cost effectiveness

I've used many variations of Delvac lubricants since the 1960s

Quite true, Doug. Sometimes the industrial lubes just aren't in convenient sizes or convenient prices, I suppose, at least if it's a bit of a niche product. The Mobil compressor lube I wanted from Imperial Oil only comes in a 255 L drum up here. I have an industrial setting and serve other industrial settings, but geeze Louise that drum is way, way too much, even if I get creative with applications. Maybe I can get every gas station in western Canada to let me change their compressor oil at service time.

Nonetheless, the Delvac 1 is treating me well. The fact that I can get the stuff at a price that's competitive with conventional at most other retail places is mind boggling. I only wish they offered it in a 20 L pail up here. I'm stuck with a 4x4 L box or a 208 L drum, neither of which is the height of convenience, at least according to my warped methods.
