I wouldn't bank on that. Mobil 1 has quite a bit more shelf space at the Walmarts I've seen and even end caps and aisle displays with Mobil 1 products, and the AC bottles are on every one of them.
Most of the marketplace is not on Bitog, so with that in mind, I think that shelf space will come into play.
With that said, the small shelf space of my local Walmart that is dedicated to Valvoline Restore and Protect is usually wiped out...at least in the 5w30 flavor. I typically see one or two jugs of 0w20, so I think it's selling well, too, just not selling out.
The Mobil 1 Advanced Clean 5w30 was gone on the shelf when I bought it, but I was able to find it on the end cap and aisle display. They had LOTS more Mobil 1 in the store than all of the Valvoline products. That shouts that Mobil 1 is a better seller, any way you slice it.
I wouldn't hesitate to run Valvoline Restore and Protect. I just have never had any evidence that Mobil 1 was leaving my engines anything less than spotless inside.
