New Mobil 1 Advanced Clean

Is there any recent evidence of this? Not trying to be difficult, but how do we know this to be true?
Here is the most up to date SDS (afaik, this pulls up when on the product page of Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0w-20 when you scroll down and click SDS)

And as @IndyFan mentioned…it is lower percentage than before (used to be 40% or more iirc?) but it is still there.

If you browse any other Extended Performance / Extended Performance High Mileage grade it’s not there (1 decene…indicates PAO and it’s anywhere from 10% to 25%)

It was reduced according to the SDS, but it's still there and there is up to as much as in Mobil 1 ESP x2 0w20.

It's on the SDS on the Mobil 1 Web site.

Very interesting. Good pickup from the website.

On the SWRI sheet below, are the photos from passes or fails?

Looking forward to seeing others' experiences with it. (Alas I have such a stash I cannot buy any more oil or I would volunteer as tribute.)

Is this their way of saying it will clean piston deposits??

A new player has entered the game...
I think it's more sludge based. Low temp deposits are different. Soot/fuel.

I remember the Valvoline guy saying some deposits wipe off easily and some are nearly impossible to remove. I'm guessing this works on the easier to remove type.

Very interesting. Grp-1,2 & PAO. I think I've never seen such composition.! Grp-1/2 for sludge solubility?

All the ones above - Advanced clean : dated 28 May 2025
Yes, so when I got quoted I thought you had found updated Mobil 1 Extended Performance numbers; since the context of the comment before was about Mobil 1 Extended Performance and I got confused.

I didn’t notice he posted the Advanced Clean numbers, my bad.
Actually my mistake. I thought he was posting Mobil 1 Extended Performance SDS. It’s not very clear. The post above him refers to Mobil 1 Extended Performance, and then he follows it with SDS screenshots. I thought it was Mobil 1 Extended Performance due to that.

Not anymore, check SDS
I just did again. And the PDS that is available for Mobil1 Extended Performance 0w-20 does indicate PAO; it’s the same one I posted earlier that is dated August 16th 2024.

If you have access to a newer SDS please post for accuracy.

We’ve merely been comparing the Mobil 1 Extended Performance lineup to this new product “Advanced Clean” to see if it might be the successor to Mobil 1 Extended Performance (rather than permanently sharing shelf space together) and while Mobil 1 Extended Performance used to contain PAO in more of its products; they no longer do except for the one we’re discussing.

Mobil 1 Advanced Clean, otoh, seems like it could be a really nice oil to the Mobil 1 portfolio and appears to slot itself in ahead of Mobil 1 Extended Performance now with PAO through the Mobil 1 Advanced Clean lineup.
