New Mobil 1(108-A) made in Vietnam C&P

Here is another Vietnam and this one has the Leak Tested and also the VAFI signature type stamp with code 8748.. I think Highline Warren is just contracting with two different plants there in Vietnam , VAFI obviously and then another which is your filter Glenda with that other code on top.. and then the third factory in Korea which I think I found that one and will be posting on that later. Premium Guard never uses any other factory out of Vietnam except VAFI so that is also an indicator they are not behind this production IMO.

Great info. Can’t wait!

Glenda, I have a filter cutter that I got from Amazon based on reviews. It looks very nice but I was not really able to cut very well with it. Do you have any advice or tips on using the cutting tools to make them cut better and cleaner?
My Amazon cutter struggles with cans that have the rolled lip on top. There’s just enough flex in the can, and the cutting wheel is just small enough, that lip contacts the block holding the cutter before the can is completely cut. It scores the can deep enough that I can finish the cut with a box knife.

Yeah, I'm not using it anymore. Got some tin snips, which are needed to cut the media open anyway.

From what's been seen so far, the new Mobil 1 filter looks on par with the extended life filters under PGI. Plus Highline Warren told me on the phone the new Mobil 1 was 99% @ 20u, which again is on par with the extended life filters under PGI. So I doubt the "original" Mobil filler was any better than that. I'd use a new Mobil 1 filter, just like I'd use a Carquest Premium or a MicroGard Select. They are all pretty equal, except the Mobil 1 seems to be a couple bucks more in cost. But it's easy to get at Walmart, but make sure it's not the old M+H made Mobil 1.
Just to be clear . STP EL is not 99% 20 micron right ?
