New laptop-preinstalled program removal

Well, thanks for the info here but we decided to hold off on the laptop, there were some unsettling events at her job today that kind of made us hesitant to spend that much money right now. Plus, we can wait and see what kind of deals come out on Black Friday and during the Christmas shopping season.

Thanks again, we will keep all this in mind when we do get a laptop.

Unfortunately, a clean install (from the restore partition on most home based PCs) also reinstalls the try and buy.

Best long term supportable option is a business PC with disks or a white box PC with MS distributed copy of the OS.

I suspect 90% of people purchasing a new PC believe their old PC is slow, when in fact it is the OS that is slow.
