Hello to all.
I've been lurking for a while.
New 2011 Toyota Tundra 5.7L.
2 years free Scheduled maintenance (5K OCI).
Here we go................
Is Toyota oil a good lubricant.
I live in So. Jersey, 0W20 or 5W20?
Should I wait 5K miles for 1st change?
I consider my driving habits normal.
13 miles to and from work, 1-2 X a week to shore area
@ 40 miles each each way (Highway).
I am a long time fan of SOPUS products. Any thoughts on Formula Shell Synthetics vs. Pennzoil or even Mobil 1?
I have no problems changing my own oil.
Great forum!
Thanks to all in advance.

Both Toyota oils are very good IMO. Take advantage of the two year free maintanance. 5k for the factory fill is OK--others have differing thoughts. Enjoy your new ride! And WELCOME TO BITOG ! FWIW--Oldtommy

Yes, the Toyota OE oils are good quality. Make use of those free changes. 5W20 year round is fine but if they will do it as part of the deal no reason not to run the 0W20 in the colder winter months.
